RESTORING DRIVING PRIVILEGES

About DTW Driving School

Drivers are required to attend a driver improvement clinic, or “driving school” for different reasons, including:

  • An accumulation of too many DMV demerit points due to traffic related convictions
  • A judge allows them to attend “driving school” and avoid a conviction
  • Voluntarily attending a driver improvement clinic to earn positive points for either DMV or insurance purposes

Approximately 30% of Drive-To-Work clients are required to complete a driver improvement clinic. Therefore, in 2016, Drive-To-Work established DTW Driving School, which is licensed by Virginia DMV to offer classroom and on-line driver improvement courses to our clients and the general public.

Drive-To-Work also operates a DMV-approved driver training school under the DTW Driving School name.  It offers an 8-hour Driver’s Manual Refresher course for both adults and teens who have failed the DMV written test three times. Its curriculum is licensed for use by other driver training schools.

Classroom is conveniently located a few blocks from Willow Lawn and across the street from Richmond Ford. Those who take the on-line course can come to the same location to take the required final test, in a personable atmosphere and easily accessible location.

DTW Driving School is unique in that it provides a user-friendly environment and an attractive price – especially appreciated by our clients – that is also available to the public. In addition, through a special grant, DTW Driving School is able to offer clients who live and work in the greater Richmond Area a large rebate off the classroom price.
